Who the heck is this guy?
Originally from south Florida, a 10 year stint in the United States Air Force landed me in Maryland where I met my wife and we settled down with our two wonderful boys. Since 2003 I have been employed as a Software/DevOps engineer.
The deeper answer to this question of who I am is one that seems to change over time. Son, father, husband, friend, Airman, nerd, band geek, autocrosser, cyclist, photographer, goalie and coach are but a few of the hats I’ve worn which have molded me into who I am. No matter which of the many characteristics I’ve had or have, I’ve been constantly evolving as a person.
These progressions, or refinements, in my character have been more plentiful as I’ve gotten older. This seems contrary to what I’d always heard and, to some degree, experienced as I was growing up. The older folks seemed, to me at least, more rigid, more set in their ways and in general, more pissed off. I’ve found it to be the opposite for me, if I’m seeing it the way other see me. My musical tastes have broadened dramatically; ask any of my childhood friends if they thought I’d ever listen to folk or country music and you are likely to met with a hail of laughter. That’s just one example and I hope to write more expansively about others here as time permits.
Thanks for visiting.
